APPEAL participated in TUTTOFOOD 2026 with a dedicated stand, presenting its edible, compostable and traceable labels to stakeholders from the food and agri-food sectors.

From 11 to 14 May 2026, APPEAL participated in TUTTOFOOD 2026, held in Milan, Italy, with a dedicated project stand.

The project stand was hosted thanks to the support of Enigma, APPEAL partner, which contributed to bringing the project closer to the food innovation community.

As a major B2B event for the food and agri-food ecosystem, TUTTOFOOD offered an important opportunity to present APPEAL to companies, professionals, buyers and stakeholders interested in innovation, sustainability and new solutions for the food value chain.

At the stand, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the project’s work on a new generation of edible, compostable and traceable labels for fruit and vegetables. The APPEAL solution is designed to reduce the environmental impact of conventional labelling, support cleaner organic waste management and introduce new functions for product information, traceability and authentication.

The event also created a valuable space for dialogue with actors from different parts of the food sector. Discussions focused on the practical needs of the market, the challenges of sustainable packaging, the role of product identification and the potential of innovative labelling solutions to support transparency and consumer trust.

Participating in TUTTOFOOD allowed APPEAL to bring its research closer to the food industry and collect useful feedback from stakeholders working across production, distribution, retail and innovation.

The presence at TUTTOFOOD 2026 represented another step in strengthening the project’s connection with the agri-food ecosystem and supporting the future development, validation and potential market uptake of edible and compostable labels.
